Fuel price board rules
To protect motorists from confusion at petrol bowsers, displaying conditionally discounted prices on fuel price boards—that is, prices that are only available to motorists who have a discount voucher, make an in-store purchase or similar was banned from 31 January 2018.
There is concern motorists may be confused about the price of fuel displayed on complex fuel price boards, given their relatively short chance to read the information provided on them or to compare the price on the board with the price available at the bowser.
From 31 January 2018, petrol stations are not able to display discounted prices of fuel on the price board.
